Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 7, 2025 — The Walt Disney Company has officially announced plans to open a new theme park in Abu Dhabi, marking Disney’s first venture of its kind in the Middle East. The announcement was made in partnership with Miral, the UAE-based developer responsible for several major entertainment destinations on Yas Island.
While full details are still emerging, the project will be part of a broader entertainment complex on Yas Island—already home to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Ferrari World. ”The development is anticipated to drive significant tourism to the UAE and further enhance Yas Island’s reputation as one of the world’s premier leisure destinations. Disney’s entry into the region is being viewed as a strategic expansion of its global parks and experiences portfolio.
